When I saw Tommy Smythes (sidekick to Sarah Richardson from HGTV's Sarah's house and Sarah's cottage) apartment on
Apartment Therapy I was blown away by his amazing ability to take ordinary objects and vintage finds and display them like art! His home is so masculine chic without being overbearing. I could would definitely be happy in this cozy space. How about you?
How come when I try and do cool arrangements it ends up looking like clutter? I need a class or something!
His levels of detail amaze me. I can't tell you how much this home speaks to me!!!!! Love!
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to do masculine right so this is really inspiring! As far as clutter, I think natural light and a great photographer make things like that look pretty in a picture you know?
ReplyDeleteI have an old Canadian House & Home magazine with one of Tommy's old house and it's gorgeous!! Black walls in the dining room, so beautiful! I love Tommy!
ReplyDelete<3 <3 <3 blue and white stripes!
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE! I totally wish he was my gay best friend. I would LOVE IT. And seriously, I love all of his work. He is so incredibly talented...why can't I see things the way he does??
ReplyDeleteI love Sarah's House!
ReplyDeleteHe has a great apartment. I love the black/white living room and the lone red pop of color with the pillow. Perfect!
Oh that is great! I really love the yellow table, although it would clash with everything I own.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a great week!

ReplyDeleteWell, hello there, gorgeous apartment! The masculine yet charming touches are amazing! All the patterns and textures!! The Hermes blanket?! LOVE LOVE!
ReplyDeleteI could go on all day!
Thanks for sharing, Leah!!
Amazing apartment...the colors are perfect, the design is perfect, love it all! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteI love his style, although different than Sarah's - and I love her style too!
ReplyDeleteHis space is a little cluttered to me. It seems to look lived in rather than livable, if that makes sense. There are some great inspirational ideas here, though!
ReplyDeleteI love Tommy, he seems like such a fun guy! This apartment is great--chic but inviting and comfortable.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Tommy awesome! I always love the out-takes at the end of Sarah's show. Funny.
ReplyDeleteTotally looks like him! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteif you find a class or an article with pointers on displaying things without it looking like clutter, let me know. i have the same issue. i grow up in a house packed full of things and i think i inherited the gene. but i want a nice clean space like these pictures.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so clean, I love all the little knick knacks he has everywhere! :D
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Tommy! Love, love, love him! Wouldn't it be fabulous to go on a shopping spree with him?! Ugh, so jealous of Sarah!
ReplyDeletePS: Thanks for sharing :)
Gosh I love that little yellow table in the corner with the plaid stools...
ReplyDeleteThe room looks great. I also find that my attempt to creatively arrange my accessories end up looking like clutter. I think I might need to throw the clutter and go for a more minimalist look.
ReplyDeleteThis is a new level of awesomeness. He can mix and match different styles masterfully. I cant get over the beautiful chairs, the shelves and the fabulous bar!!!! xoxoox
