Hello fab home
When I saw Tommy Smythes (sidekick to Sarah Richardson from HGTV's Sarah's house and Sarah's cottage) apartment on Apartment Therapy I was blown away by his amazing ability to take ordinary objects and vintage finds and display them like art! His home is so masculine chic without being overbearing. I could would definitely be happy in this cozy space. How about you?

It's so hard to do masculine right so this is really inspiring! As far as clutter, I think natural light and a great photographer make things like that look pretty in a picture you know?
I have an old Canadian House & Home magazine with one of Tommy's old house and it's gorgeous!! Black walls in the dining room, so beautiful! I love Tommy!

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I totally wish he was my gay best friend. I would LOVE IT. And seriously, I love all of his work. He is so incredibly talented...why can't I see things the way he does??

He has a great apartment. I love the black/white living room and the lone red pop of color with the pillow. Perfect!
Oh that is great! I really love the yellow table, although it would clash with everything I own.

I love his style, although different than Sarah's - and I love her style too!
His space is a little cluttered to me. It seems to look lived in rather than livable, if that makes sense. There are some great inspirational ideas here, though!
I love Tommy, he seems like such a fun guy! This apartment is great--chic but inviting and comfortable.

if you find a class or an article with pointers on displaying things without it looking like clutter, let me know. i have the same issue. i grow up in a house packed full of things and i think i inherited the gene. but i want a nice clean space like these pictures.

The room looks great. I also find that my attempt to creatively arrange my accessories end up looking like clutter. I think I might need to throw the clutter and go for a more minimalist look.
This is a new level of awesomeness. He can mix and match different styles masterfully. I cant get over the beautiful chairs, the shelves and the fabulous bar!!!! xoxoox
