Attempting to make Parisian Macaroons

I have been wanting to make Macaroons for a while now and I am just starting to get up the courage to tackle them. Anyone have advice? So far I hear it's good to use "old" eggs and to get an oven thermometer. Here goes nothing!

Oh my goodness! This is for sure my one my favorite treats! I hope you have success and then can share your thoughts for the rest of us. I am a good cook, but baking has never been my forte.

oh man I wish you luck. I BOMBED these when I tried to make them. Just make sure you don't get the slightest amount of egg yolk in there- just whites! Apparently that's where I went wrong... =(

Slam the cookie sheets on the counter hard several times to get the bubbles out. Good luck! I still haven't mastered them...
