Oscar de la Renta

Check out this amazing Oscar de la Renta showroom designed by non other than Miles Redd.

I look at pictures like these and study them, searching for what makes them so incredible. I have decided that amazing artwork really elevates a space and makes them that much more eye pleasing!
Don't you agree?

Monday at My Home

Happy Monday Luvs!

I have been busy working on my vanity after all your wonderful suggestions last Monday!

I decided that I definitely needed a mirror, I mean no vanity is complete without it! I found a very cute and affordable mirror at my favorite store, the Goodwill, for $12. I also found a cute vintage silver tray and a blue and gold floral box. I have been searching for a stool at a few Goodwill's but could not find any. I about gave up until my sister called and said that when she was at their rental property she found a cute little stool in the garage! I was so excited! All it needed was a couple coats of paint and some new fabric! The other items that I used I already had. I am so proud of the finished look and I am even more proud of how much the whole makeover cost... $30! Yay, that always feels so good when you can do a lot with just a little!
Hope you love it as much as I do!

The Way YOU Are- 6th Street Design School

I am so excited to start this new series that I have been wanting to start for a while now. It's called The Way You Are. It's a series where we get to see a sneak peak in some of YOUR fabulous homes. I have asked a few fellow bloggers to participate and if you would like to participate too (which I would be thrilled to have you) please please please shoot me an email!

So to kick off this series we are getting to see a peak into the home of the amazing and talented Kirsten from
6th Street Design School. I have asked to see your favorite spot in your home and this is what she chose!

By the way go check out Kirsten's newest series called Good Design with Kids in Mind where she asks a panel of experts, including me, questions about keeping a stylish home while raising kiddos. It is so amazing!!

Kirsten's Favorite Spot......

My favorite spot in my home is my office. I love coming in here and working on design projects. I also love the colors in this room. The blue is very soothing while the pops of dark pink make it feel feminine and fun. My very favorite things in this room are my desk chair and my rug. The rug is so soft and sometimes while I'm working on my computer my son Jett will come and just lay on the rug. He loves it too.

It is so nice to have a space all to myself. Even though this room is very small I feel like it is all organized and everything has a place. In my stressful and busy life having organization is essential. I also love having my desk next to a window. I love the view of the mountains outside this window.

If I had this office I am sure this would be my favorite spot too!
Thank you Kirsten!

My brothers wedding!

Back from Seattle after attending my brothers wedding in the Century Ballroom. I am so thrilled to show off these pics of my new sister-in-law and my family!

I snapped this cute pic of Liza (the bride) just about to walk down the isle. I was standing in the back trying to coax Evelette to go down the aisle. She ended up doing it like a pro! Yay!

IMG_3177.JPG

After Evelette headed down the aisle I rushed to the front where I was sitting just in time to watch my big brother watch the love of his life come in. I have never seen him so happy!

Weekend Inspiration

I am going to be a busy girl this weekend with my brother's wedding in Seattle. I am so excited for him and my future sister-in-law so I will definitely show you pics!

I will be a little MIA with all the happenings but know that I am thinking of you all and wishing you a great weekend. If you get in the decorating mood (which I know I often do) you can use this amazing space for inspiration!
