Wall Lovin

Our bare silver walls in our bedroom finally got some lovin! For some reason I focuse all my energy on decorating the main living areas and forget about our bedrooms. I guess it's probably just becuase we spend most of our time in the family room and kitchen. I have been inspired by frames hanging with no artwork in them lately in different pictures and I love the idea. I finally just did it. We went to Goodwill twice and got them all and then spray painted them. My hubby helped me hang them this weekend after we put Evelette to bed. It was fun, like putting a puzzle together! Let me know what you think. I might go back and try and find a couple more frames to fill out the wall a bit more. It kinda reminds me of wallpaper...

It is a seriously cheap and dramatic way to fill out a space. You can do all sorts of shapes or colors. I have even seen frames put inside of frames which really adds dimension. Happy hanging!

Very glamorous indeed!!! Is that Ralph Lauren metallic paint? I just bought a pint of the "silver plated" colour and choked at the price for 1 pint! Especially since Home Depot is discontinuing that line, you'd think they would have discounted it or something!
Anyhoo, I can't wait til I have a house!!!

I know I had the most difficult time finding silver metallic paint! I tried Home Depot but they didn't have it in stock. So I went to A & I paint over by Winco in Hillsboro. They had some and it too was only sold in pints. It was expensive too, we ended up not even putting on a second coat on the trim even though it needed it. You can't really tell unless you point it out. It was definitely a challenge because it showed the streaks really bad. My husband had to do just upward strokes with the roller. The end result has been amazing but the process was tricky and expensive!
