Our pink Christmas

So I thought to myself that I should do a little cute diy to spruce up our Christmas decor. And I don't know what you think of when you think of Christmas but nothing says it better to me than pink ruffle Christmas trees!

I just picked up some foam cones, dressmaker pins, and a cute array of pink fabric. It was super easy to do, all I had to do was cut the fabric in strips and then pin it on the cone, putting the folds in as I went. It was a little time consuming, but I loved having a fun project to do while we watched a Christmas movie last night.

Christmas decor inspiration

I have to apologize for my earlier post. I don't want you all to think that I am dissatisfied or anything. I would describe myself as a perfectionist so when it's not perfect it bugs me! lol
For some reason I have been less than inspired to decorate for Christmas and I think it shows. I decided that I needed to look for inspiration! I searched on Deco My Place and found so much Christmas eye candy!

I pretty much am obsessed with finding a white Christmas tree now!

Monday at My Home

So here's the deal, this Monday at My Home is kinda pathetic (to say the least). I have no super spectacular projects to show you. But I do have some of our Christmas decor up so I took some pictures of those. They are really bad pictures to top it off so I am feeling pretty bad at this point....

Sunday Brunch Coffee

Last week Anne Thornton from the Food Network's, Dessert First was on the Nate Berkus show. She is obviously a genius when it comes to dessert but the spiced coffee that she shared on the show sounds incredible! So for this Sunday's Brunch I think we should definitely make this!

Pretty dishes

Looking for smashing dish ware for this holiday season? Good, because I found some adorable dishes on Rosanna. I mean seriously I would rather just take my plate setting home from your party than eat your food! Yes I would starve for them! I am such a "silly goose", as my daughter would say. A silly goose for decor!

Thanksgiving at the Oregon Coast

We spent this Thanksgiving at the Oregon Coast with Richard's side of the family. We had such an incredible time. I mean not everyone can take a walk to the beach in between courses! The cousins had so much fun finding seashells, climbing on rocks and stumps, and watching a dead seal be eaten by a seagull (okay that part was kinda sad and gross but educational for the kids).

The food was amazing with Turkey and all the fixings! For indoor fun the kids did crafts and the adults played games, and browsed black Friday adds.

I told myself I would not endure another black Friday but my husband convinced me by enticing me with a Starbucks. It is amazing what I will do for a Peppermint Mocha! We came back victorious with most of our Christmas shopping done and a pair of jeggings for Mama, yippeee!

Happy Thanksgiving

So this post is a bit selfish. It's really for me to look back on!
Papa had fun giving us girls a little photo shoot before the Thanksgiving Eve service, I just wish we got a picture of all of us! I guess we will have to take some more pics tomorrow.
