Monday at My Home

Happy Monday my Luvs! I hope you had an amazing weekend with loved ones, watching the super bowl, and loosening your jeans for all the junk food!
So sorry I am such a tease but ever since I saw these amazing orange lamps I have been obsessed! I found a pair of hideous lamps at Goodwill this weekend and made it my mission to transform them.

I am so bummed that I did not take a before pic, chalk it up to my constant impatience! But here is a during picture. My generous Dad let me paint them in his shop. They aren't the color that they look like in this picture, they are a true orange.

I don't have a sofa table yet so I am using some T.V. trays with magazines and books to make them higher. Definitely a temporary fix.

Here's my sweet Evelette. "Um, Mom I am trying to watch leap frog!"

She kept on saying "Go ni night Mama?!" so I let her watch a show this morning, to tide her over till her afternoon nap. Such a treat!

Just beautiful, and I must know where those fab shades come from? Did you luck out and happen upon the right color or is that a diy story?

LOVE THEM!!!

what color spray paint did you use?

Kim, amazingly enough I found the shades at a lamp store. They are silk and I can't believe how well they match!

Pawleys, I used Rustoleum's Real Orange spray paint.

Hope this helps!

Luvs!

I love it! I love the pop of colour! I'm been thinking about doing something similar with a good size lamp I spotted at Value Village the other day - as I source for inexpensive things to redo my workspace at the office.
