Shopping Urban Outfitters

I have been seeing hounds tooth everywhere lately and I think this cute wallpaper would be a great choice to show it off. Maybe on a single wall...
Vibrant peacock rug on sale for 39.99!
I love the cardigan and mini skirt combo. If only my legs weren't pasty white right now!
Something so soft and pretty about this white ruffled shower curtain.
If these weren't $178. I would so buy one asap! The fact that they light up is so rad!

I REALLY REALLY want this chair! It is so cute and hip. My house needs this! And only for $78 I think it's well worth it. Time to start saving. I wonder if it is comfortable?

Love this mini white version of the Cuckoo clock.

Yes please.

Primp my desk

My desk has been bothering me for quite some time. I finally realized it needed a good dose of color so I moved one of my favorite pictures of Marilyn out of the guest bedroom (which we pretty much keep the door closed all the time so we don't have to pay to heat it) and hung it above the desk. The result.... Smitten! It is so fun. What do you think?

We found this desk at Goodwill for $10! The lamp we received when Richard's grandpa passed away. We just found a new lamp shade for it, it made the lamp like new! The chair we found at a garage sale and recovered it. Love finding good deals!
Can you see my toast rack? I ordered it off of etsy a while back and I LOVE it! It is so great to hold and show off pretty stationary.
This is what my desk looked like before. My husband finally let me put this chair out in the garage. Whether he will let me sell it or not the verdict is out! : )

Free chair

Our neighbors are moving and this was put out on their front lawn for free. I took it in, cleaned it up and gave it a nice place to sleep. I know not everyone is crazy about it. But I think it rocks vintage!

Rock my world mirrors

I don't care what anyone says... I LOVE over the top mirrors! They add so much to a space.

Hot pink! I love this shade!

Not only is the mirror incredible. But check out those sick chairs! Shiny purple vinyl. So me! I am dying to find some cool chairs like these on Craigslist or Goodwill. I could paint and reupholster them myself! Let me know if anyone spies these anywhere!
I love the blue chair with this and the blue plates on the wall. So charming.
Loving the gold on black!
Outside? Why not!

Fear and Jam

Proverbs 1:33
But the one who listens to me will live in security, and will be at ease from the dread of harm.

Since becoming a mom I can tend to be more fearful. Which comes with the territory of having to take care of such a precious blessing. With the world and all it's craziness it can be so easy to worry about the future of our little ones. But what comfort we can take from God's word. God doesn't want us to live in fear. He wants us to live by faith!

My mother is a great encourager for myself and many others. When I am discouraged or worried she prays for me and builds me up. We should all have people in our lives that we can confide in and pray with. She is such a faith filled and loving mama. I want to strive to be more like her and be the kind of mother to my daughter that she is to me. Thank you mom for trusting in Jesus and raising us to press into Him. And thank you for helping me to make a whole lot of jam last week. Love you!

Happy Monday

Love this room. The color choice is so refreshing and vibrant!

Step three of Backyard Makeover

Step three: Paint pots
My sis gave these pots to me a while ago. She was going to get rid of them because they are cracked but I said that I would love to have them! I knew they were going to have great purpose!

My weapon of choice.
Just the first coat and they are already glamour worthy.
I ordered these lemon grass plants from Spring Hill Nursery who had an amazing online deal. I was able to order $20 worth of free plants and only had to pay shipping. This plant is great because you can use it for cooking, plus they say it is great to keep mosquitos at bay. Hopefully they will really fill out some space on the deck.
