My Naughty Nook

Not that kind of nook people! ; )

The nook I am talking about is the naughty nook in our entry. It's this awkward hole in the wall that is being used as a wet bar area. I am really trying to think of a way to make it more appealing to the eye. I think I may have finally figured it out, curtains!

I forget sometimes that you can use curtains in places where there are no windows. I think that it may change the apperance of the nook opening and really warm up the whole space.

You know me and my bold taste I was thinking some diy yellow striped curtains may be my ticket.

Taking a cue from Tori Spelling

A new season of Tori and Dean has started on the Oxygen channel and her and Dean are tackling yet another new adventure, planning weddings. I have really enjoyed the season, with all of their creative ideas. I have also noticed Tori's amazingly colorful wardrobe. She has always had my kind of taste with big gold costume jewelry and bright clothing. But this season she has really been sporting the floral dress and I think this is a great trend for the upcoming summer!

I was thinking even before we found out what we were having that I wanted to use a light turquoise on the walls and either a yellow striped ceiling or a yellow striped rug. So when I saw this pic, I knew I was on the right track. We even have the same chandelier in the nursery!

Monday at My Home

Happy Monday my sweet Luvs! I hope you had a fabulous Easter Weekend!

We had so much fun, and are coming down after our sugar high! I thought I would share a couple photos from the church Easter egg hunt and a couple new editions to our home.

The Easter egg hunt at our church was such a blast and there were so many people so that made it even more fun. And to top it off we had an amazing sunny day. It was so much fun to watch Evie, she just wanted to open each egg as she found them and of course her Papa and I were saying "hurry before they're all gone!" lol Then you think to yourself "Why does she need to hurry? She is having so much fun!"

Evie found this leopard bean bag at Pier One and it was such a steal! She is already getting the bargain hunting thing down.

I woke up to find this Elephant bowl in my Easter basket. Dang, that Easter Bunny's good! (Thanks Lover, I guess you got my hint when I sent you a pic from Home Goods and told you I wanted it for Easter) ; )

We finally found a solution for a sofa table/ storage unit for all Evie's toys.

Pretty Pretty Flowers!

I am so excited for this Easter Weekend! We will be coloring eggs, helping out with the church Easter egg hunt and having a yummy Easter dinner at my sisters. I am especially excited for Evie this year because she will be able to participate a lot more and get as much Chocolate for Mama as possible!

Paris Hilton's old home

Paris Hilton's old L.A. home is back up for rent. She hasn't lived in this home since 2007 but here's what it looked like when Paris called it home.
Although I find a lot of her decor over done and a bit tacky, a couple of her rooms are really spectacular.

I love the staircase mainly becuase of the dark wood floors and zebra rug. The chandelier is the ultimate icing.

My favorite room is her dining room. It's totally glamorous but not in an overwhelming way.

Mirrored furniture anyone?!
