Monday at My Home
My latest DIY was very inexpensive. I painted a canvas I already had all white, then I bought some bright pink duct tape and laid it on in different angles. It made for a fun art piece...

Monday at My Home
Happy Monday my Luvs!
For this Monday at My Home I am sharing some shots from my Instagram of this past week and weekend.
I tackled a couple of diy's that I wanted to do and I think they turned out pretty fab! I also took some pretty cute pics of my babes. ; )
First off, I "barrowed" a mexican blanket from my Mom that she wasn't using and put it in baby Hugh's nursery. Doesn't it add a cool global feel to the room?

And here's the little man himself, hanging out in Nana's laundry! I really can't get enough of him!

Remember that painted tray diy I featured a while ago? Well I finally got around to tackling it myself...
First I painted it a basic white.

Second, when it was good and dry I taped off a fun pattern.

Finally I painted it gold and peeled off the tape. After a little touch up viola! LOVE!

Another diy that I have been wanting to try is this friendship bracelet that I spied on another Instagram.

Pretty cute right?

And last but not at all least, my sweet Evelette dressed up in her Sunday best. Love this girl!

Hope you enjoyed all my little projects!

Happy weekend!
Yay it's Friday!!! We are so excited to relax and catch up on some things this weekend. What about you my Luvs? Any big plans?
I am leaving you with a picture of a super chic space. The great thing about this room is that it looks like they just took some black paint and had at it but somehow it turned out super fun and "artsy". I am sorta wanting to get a canvas and replicate this in a smaller way...

DIY gold leaf chevron tray
I love finding new blogs with great ideas. For instance I just discovered Allie and Chris's cute blog Lucy Schwartz design. They have some really cute DIY's but my fave is this super chic tray that they painted gold zig zags on.
They got their inspiration from this tray off Pinterest.

And here's their version...

Cute, right?!!! I think it's even better that the original. Find out how to make one yourself here.
Happy diying! Luvs

Monday at My Home
I have been spying with my little eye this really cool room divider at the GW for a few weeks now. It was, in my opinion, really over priced but I was patient and watched as they marked it down every week. This past week I finally asked if they could mark it down anymore and they did! Plus I got another 5% off with my Goodwill club card (okay so it's my moms but I still use it)! Love me a good deal!
I originally dreamed of covering it with fabric but then ended up spray painting the whole thing black and then add a little gold detail by painting the center diamonds gold.

Diy Ornate frame magnets
Hey Luvs!
I recently did a super easy diy and thought I would share it with you all. I wanted to think up a cute way to display Evie's art and a place to hang up the grocery list and chore chart. I immediately thought of fun frames but I had no place for them. Then it dawned on me, why not the fridge? I found these cute frames for super cheap at Goodwill and then spray painted them all white, I hot glued powerful magnets from our local Home Depot to the back and viola frame magnets!!!!
Pretty cute, huh?!!!

Pumpkins at My Home
My sweet husband picked up some pumpkins to decorate for our front porch. I was especially thankful because we were in desperate need of some sort of fall decor to welcome in the new season!
I love gold pumpkins so I decided to spray paint them all gold. I also love pumpkins with some sort of polka dots on them so Evelette and I had fun painting black ones. I think they turned out pretty cute, they totally remind me of old fashioned french clowns for some reason. It must be the polka dots. : )

I still can't decide which way I like them.
This way

or this way... Oh well!

New Diy project
After yesterday's post and googling over how gorgeous that nursery was I had a decorating aha moment. When we did Evelette's big girl room we never put a new light fixture in because there was nothing that really caught my eye but after seeing that gorgeous bid cage light in that nursery I was like that's it!!! And what's more is that I could make it myself. I love the idea of a black one to add a bit of edge to her room and after looking briefly on ebay there are some definite options.
Wouldn't these be cute?

Hope you have a great weekend my Luvs!

Monday at My Home
I am not really sure what happened but we had a super duper crazy busy weekend!
Richard had to work for my Dad using his GPS equipment (from Richard's work) to help him lay out rows for a new blueberry field that they are putting in. So we were out at the farm Friday evening and most of Saturday morning. While he was working outside I was working on a new rug for our family room inside. Richard had picked this rug up from Ikea, which several other bloggers have already painted including this one which I LOVE!
Here's what our diy process looked like.

Child labor, I highly recommend! ; )

After:

We also got a new roman shade from the Home Depot. Hoping that it will keep our house a little cooler this summer.

And yes that's Evelette sitting in our Badai (her favorite spot to sit and play or read while we are getting ready. ;)

The shade all hung!

We spent the whole rest of the weekend in our yard. We had a list of about 15 things to do and we finished most of it! Unfortunaletly I can hardly walk this morning. lol
Have a great Monday my Luvs!

Keep em coming
Sometimes I think I just do this blog thing for myself, that I am in my own little world just entertaining myself, and that no one else really reads it. So when I get these amazing comments or emails saying that I have inspired someone or helped them with their projects or goals I am totally blown away! Me? Crazy!
Just yesterday I got this sweet comment from Mrs. Parsons saying that I had inspired her and that she painted her own amazing Goodwill dresser. Um seriously I think I might just raid her house to take this beauty for myself!!!! The color is amazing and I love that she painted the handles white.
Gorgeous sweetie!
