Saturday morning macaroons

I actually did it! I conquered the very finicky french macaroons this weekend and I am so proud of myself. Now I think I might have a new addiction though. ; )

I used this recipe and they turned out perfect!

Attempting to make Parisian Macaroons

I have been wanting to make Macaroons for a while now and I am just starting to get up the courage to tackle them. Anyone have advice? So far I hear it's good to use "old" eggs and to get an oven thermometer. Here goes nothing!

Latest Lonny

Doesn't it seem like forever between Lonny issues? It always seems like I am checking to see if the next one came out and when it finally does, by that point I have stopped checking! lol I guess thats what happens when they only have one issue every two months.


This room below was my favorite featured in the latest issue. I love the blue floor that adds an ocean vibe to the room which is incredible. The white trellis room divider totally reminds me of California cool. The red/orange stools and vintage barbie doll picture add a total hip feel. Overall light, bright, and cool!

I am becoming a bigger and bigger fan of orange. Something about this amazing color is so bright and welcoming and reads high end to me. Maybe it's because of Hermes? Whatever the reason I can't seem to get enough and these rooms only further my obsession.

Monday at My Home

Happy Monday my Luvs!
For this Monday at My Home I am sharing some shots from my Instagram of this past week and weekend.
I tackled a couple of diy's that I wanted to do and I think they turned out pretty fab! I also took some pretty cute pics of my babes. ; )

First off, I "barrowed" a mexican blanket from my Mom that she wasn't using and put it in baby Hugh's nursery. Doesn't it add a cool global feel to the room?

And here's the little man himself, hanging out in Nana's laundry! I really can't get enough of him!

Remember that painted tray diy I featured a while ago? Well I finally got around to tackling it myself...
First I painted it a basic white.

Second, when it was good and dry I taped off a fun pattern.

Finally I painted it gold and peeled off the tape. After a little touch up viola! LOVE!

Another diy that I have been wanting to try is this friendship bracelet that I spied on another Instagram.

Pretty cute right?

And last but not at all least, my sweet Evelette dressed up in her Sunday best. Love this girl!

My family room pillows at Target!

Remember my post showing you my family room here? Well I was just browsing Target pillows online and they have the same pillows! I got mine for my birthday from Etsy and they were double the cost! Just thought I'd let you know in case anyone wants to snatch them up!
