Spraying Paint

As you probably already know I am constantly spray painting things. I love how it can turn so many things from drab to fab! I have painted a couple things lately but I thought I'd share with you my favorite...

I would love to be able to go to thrift shops on a regular basis but with a newborn and two other little ones, it proves to be quite a challenge especially when it can be so hit or miss. Fortunately my Mother has become quite the thrift store junkie so I tell her to keep an eye out for certain things. : )
Her latest score was this bust of Nefertiti. And I mean how can you go wrong with this gorgeous Egyptian queen?
And after a couple coats of white I brought this queen into a more modern realm. : )

Hello Pinterest!

Hey Luvs!
So I am not only jumping back into blogging but I am rediscovering pinterest as well! I have really been missing out : )
I really feel it has become way better than when I was into it a while ago. I am actually REALLY excited to gain inspiration for our home. I feel like there are so many AMAZING styles and ideas out there and I am just a student to absorb it all. This is what I am loving right now...
I mean those chairs, that lamp!
I am obsessed with these floors...
And I have to admit if it has black and white and some gold in there, I am in love!
Love you guys! xo

Hey Luvs!
Okay life has been crazy, but what's new right?! Sweet baby Stella was born on September 12 and is now 8 weeks old! I can't believe it! She is just the sweetest thing and I cannot get enough of her. Life is a constant juggling act of home life and running the business (and all under one roof) but really I am loving every minute. God has blessed us with so much and I am so thankful.
I love this picture below of Stella in her nursery... I pretty much kept it the same as when it was Hugh's nursery but I just changed some accessories and painted our green dresser white and use it for a changing table in her room now.
My latest project has been a spruce up of our family room. I spent 14 hours one day painting it by myself, while the hubby helped me with the kids. My house has slowly turned all white with the exception of a couple rooms. It really is amazing how versatile white is though. I feel like I can finally do what I want to do in a room and not feel constricted by what's on the walls. Here is just a little sneak peek...
I hate showing it until it is totally the way I want it, but lol that might never happen but I hope to show more soon!
Thank you for all your support!

Side table before and after

I love that my husband will stop by the occasional estate sale to look for hidden treasures for me. He recently stoped by one on his way home and picked up this sweet little side table for $5.
All it took was a good wipe down and a can of gold spray paint, that I already had, and viola!
A terribly cute addition to our entry, don't you think?

Flippin Love These!

Okay so I have been looking for the perfect pair of lamps for a while now and I think I have FINALLY  found them! A great pair of lamps can add so much to any space. I totally believe a single lamp can add a lot but a pair adds a great element of symmetry to pull a room together.
So anyways I was browsing on Lamps Plus and wasn't expecting to see anything but then I saw these babies....

Although the base looks black it is actually an antiqued bronze. So I know this sounds crazy but I might spray paint the bases black just because I really am in love with the idea of them all black. I am not even exactly sure as to where they will go but I am so excited to play around with them when they come! And I promise I will be showing you some home pics soon!

In the making

I love doing little things here and there to change a room. Which is exactly what I am doing with our family room. I find myself changing this room the most, most likely because it's the room we are in the most and I get bored quickly. : )

For tonight's project I am doing a quick change to our GW entertainment center (which btw I love thrifted furniture that you don't feel bad painting over whenever it suits you). Since I am going with a black and white theme I decided to add black paint to the doors. I simply removed the handles with a screwdriver and taped the area off that I wanted to paint. I used leftover black paint that we already had, so it literally costed nothing. And viola, this picture is after one coat of paint so stay tuned for finished results!

Its been WAY too long!

Hello Luvs! So sorry it has been way too long since my last post! What can I say? Life is crazy right? Well to wrap up the last few months very briefly…
We found out in Hawaii this past January that I am expecting again! AND we recently found out it's a girl! Let's just say our Evelette is very excited! Oh and of course, so are we ; )
When I finally got over morning sickness, I decided to tackle the project of creating my own website. Which has been recently completed. My business has grown and I am loving every minute of it, while at times it has proven to be a bit crazy it really has been something that has become my passion so feel free to check it out HERE and let me know what you think.
So now that I have wrapped up on that project I have decided to tackle a few home projects because I know that before I know it, baby girl will be here!

So the first project will be changing the drapes in the family room.
My inspiration... from Adore magazine.
I love how they totally make the room and give it that larger than life feeling. I have searched and searched and after reading outstanding reviews about these drapes from Overstock, I think these silk drapes are the ones I'll go with...
So stay tuned for the finished "project" with the 6 panels I have to get it will for sure make an impact.
