True bliss

After I saw Vanessa de Vargas's work featured on Simply Grove I knew I HAD to share her with you! This dining room first off is like true bliss to me, I have this constant pull between vintage and modern and this room has a perfect balance of both.

She has a great way of combining great lines and balanced symmetry. These chairs are pretty gorgeous too.

What an incredibly bright and cheery office! The wallpaper is so pretty and subtle.

So does she create true bliss for you too?!!

Leah's randomness

Today is a bit of my own randomness. I have made lil changes here and there and just wanted to see what ya'll thought.

Since we got our sectional, I had to move some things around. I put our diy black and white chairs in our bedroom, which the seating alone is much more convenient.

We also got new pillow covers with the compensation that West Elm gave us for the long wait for the couch. I used one of the covers to recover our little stool for my vanity.

I have wanted these West Elm plates since last Christmas and was able to get them with the same compensation money. The cups I found at a garage sale, a set of them for $15!

This is what the formal living room looks like with the big couch moved in there. I have an awful lot going on and am not sure if or where I need to edit. So if you have any suggestions please don't be shy. : )

Shopping Urban Outifitters

Ya so I am getting a tad restless for baby to come. It's crazy to think how long you wait and then the last couple weeks seem like eternity. So to divert my thoughts I turn my attention to shopping one of my favorite stores... Urban Outfitters! Here's a few items that are totally killer and come to think of it would totally rock in the same room.

Monday at My Home

Happy Monday my Luvs!
This Monday I wanted to share baby boy's "finished" room. We received our new glider and I love it! I am so excited to be comfy and cozy rocking my little one in it, even though Evelette and I have tested it out thoroughly! I wanted to add some navy to the room so I got the polka dot bed sheet from Pottery Barn. My sister sewed the cute anchor on a pillow that I already had and the anchor on the wall was a decoration from my baby shower that I got to take home.

My grandparents gave me this picture of my great grandpa. (New baby boy is going to be named after him)

The Rachel Zoe cape

I recently received the new Nordstrom catalog and the first item they had in it was this amazing cape by Rachel Zoe. I love how luxe it looks with the black leather trim and gold buttons. I have no camel in my wardrobe and I think it would be a great staple to have especially for the new fall season. Not saying I will get this cape but it is definitely drool worthy, maybe I will just have to keep my eye open for a cheaper version!

My baby shower

Happy Tuesday my Luvs!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I feel like I have been playing catch up for the last couple of days but I am finally settling in now. I am so excited to show you pictures from my baby shower this past weekend. My sister and sister-in-laws gave me the cutest shower ever! They had it on the dock at my parents farm and it was so breathtaking, I am not sure why we haven't held things there before becuase it was so amazing. The theme was nautical and I really just want to do something with rope now. ; )

It's funny how I thought I wasn't really that big until I see pics of myself. A double chin?!! Really?!!

That feminine influence

One of the things that I love about Adore magazine is that they always have these bright and feminine rooms. These two rooms below are my favorite of the newest issue, they both scream kick up your feet and eat a cupcake (or at least they do to me).
And you all know that I have a soft place in my heart for pink in the kitchen!

My own world

Hey Luvs!
I have been a bit in my own world lately and blogging has gotten to be on the back burner. I think I am just settling down for these last weeks before baby boy comes. I did manage however to do a little painting on our T.V. cabinet. I think the navy blue border around the doors is kinda fun.
