Latest Lonny

Doesn't it seem like forever between Lonny issues? It always seems like I am checking to see if the next one came out and when it finally does, by that point I have stopped checking! lol I guess thats what happens when they only have one issue every two months.


This room below was my favorite featured in the latest issue. I love the blue floor that adds an ocean vibe to the room which is incredible. The white trellis room divider totally reminds me of California cool. The red/orange stools and vintage barbie doll picture add a total hip feel. Overall light, bright, and cool!

Beautiful house

How Mama's have successful blogs is beyond me! I hardly have a second to reply to emails let alone writing a blog post. However on this particular Monday morning, miraculously I have a small block of time to pop in and share a home tour from House Beautiful. I saw it while flipping through the latest issue while nursing baby Hugh. ; )
I was really intrigued by the dark wall colors with the bright pops of color, a very welcoming and cozy effect.

A new leaf

I am the sort of person that is drawn to a broad spectrum of design and decor. But lately it seems I have turned a new leaf in my own homes decor. Instead of being drawn to the dark, dramatic, and vintage I am leaning towards lighter colors, and modern lines.
This home for instance that is being featured at Style at Home is a great example of what I am loving right now.
There is still the great mix of amazing vintage pieces but paired with all white spaces and modern lines. Gorgeous right?

That feminine influence

One of the things that I love about Adore magazine is that they always have these bright and feminine rooms. These two rooms below are my favorite of the newest issue, they both scream kick up your feet and eat a cupcake (or at least they do to me).
And you all know that I have a soft place in my heart for pink in the kitchen!

Taking it outside

I think it's time to take our attention to the outside of our homes people. Time to make our backyards our own oasis's right? Okay as much as we can with what we got right?
I am completely drooling over these outside spaces from Living Etc. They are all so cozy and welcoming!

Elle decor's at home with Keri Russell

After receiving my Elle decor for the month, I was totally taken away with Keri Russell's Brooklyn Brownstone home tour. What really resinated with me was the total rustic vibe paired with the completely feminine touches.

Check out this amazing crown molding and gorgeous chandelier.

I am really loving all the dark wood paired with the soft curtains, light fixture, and flowers.

Anyone else need a soak in this free standing tub?!

Bright and Happy

"Oh my goodness"... this is what my daughter and I say when we really like something!

So "Oh my goodness" I LOVE these rooms from the latest issue of Homes and Gardens! They are so bright and happy and that is all I am craving right now!

In particular this first room makes me want to redecorate my whole house! Isn't the blue and white so refreshing?

I am completely drooling over this eating area. The ornate mirror, clock and chandelier are a perfect contrast to the all white and modern table and chairs.

I would never in my life choose these stripes, but looking at this room it totally works. It truly is a spring room.

New Nesting Newbies

The latest issue of Nesting Newbies is out and I had to share my favorite of the online mag. In this issue they displayed some really great ideas for some uber chic table settings. I love the originality and the whimsical touches that they used.

For example in this emerald green (a fond color of mine) table setting, I love that they hung the frames all crooked, that touch of quirkiness is so fun and is a great conversation starter.

In this setting I love that they used turtle shells as plates and beetle wallpaper! Why not?!

Just desserts? No problem, they took it way overboard and filled the table with tons of eye candy.

Check out this fun geometric structure suspended over the table!

This is just a girls sweet tooth fantasy! Yum!

High Gloss April Issue!

Here is what I LOVE about each room that the online mag High Gloss has featured in their April/May issue, which happens to only be their second issue ever. As a brand new magazine I think they are definitely pushing their weight around the rapidly growing online magazine world!

The horse head and patterns in this room are so eye catching.

Fresh flowers, beautiful barware, and stunning tablecloth.... my heart sings!

My favorite part of this room is the ornate frame hung in front of the mirror! Genius!

Isn't it great that not all of your chairs need to match? Especially if they are all the same color, you can mix and match and it still looks incredibly chic!

I call this room dark seduction! Oooh la la!

They make this green and purple color combo so chic and in no way resembling Barney.

I love new ways to arrange furniture. This desk placed at an angle totally makes for a cozy work space.

How could you not be happy in this bedroom?!

This dresser makes me so giddy! Now to think of a way to get this exact dresser away from my brother! lol
