I am so proud of my big sister! My sister-in-law and her have opened their own Etsy shop called On a Farm!

They are selling really cute feed bag pillows that look adorable on patio furniture.

Next time I decorate a room I think I am just going slap a lot of white paint down and add a few key pieces and I will be mad for it....

Happy weekend!

Yay it's Friday!!! We are so excited to relax and catch up on some things this weekend. What about you my Luvs? Any big plans?
I am leaving you with a picture of a super chic space. The great thing about this room is that it looks like they just took some black paint and had at it but somehow it turned out super fun and "artsy". I am sorta wanting to get a canvas and replicate this in a smaller way...

I love finding new blogs with great ideas. For instance I just discovered Allie and Chris's cute blog Lucy Schwartz design. They have some really cute DIY's but my fave is this super chic tray that they painted gold zig zags on.

Monday at My Home

I know it's not Monday but I am getting a late start because of our weekend away. Which by the way was fabulous, lots of snuggling by the fire while it snowed outside. I painted the chairs before we left but the cold weather made for poor drying conditions so I had to do some touch up work when we got back. I was finally able to put them together today, with the help of my Evie handing me the screws and screwdriver (so sweet).

I love how they turned out, really anything white makes my heart sing! Aren't they much more cheery?!!

Goodbye red

This weekend we are off for an out of town wedding for one of my dearest friends. I am a bridesmaid in the wedding, so we are making it a long weekend getaway as well. That said, I want to leave you with a sneak peek of my next project... getting rid of the red in our dining room. I am looking forward to a more neutral pallet. The results will be, that future gatherings there will not be limited to choosing colors that work with red. I will show you soon! Have an amazing weekend! Luvs

Greenwich Apartment

The layers of fabrics, artwork, and colors draws me to writer Rita Konig's apartment in Greenwich Village. I think she really understands that it's all in the details and thats truly inspiring! You could run off and try and find new items to achieve this look but I think some good thrift markets would do the trick. With that I am off to pack up the babes to head to our local Goodwill.

Monday at My Home

So I know that our new floor might not excite everyone, but for us who have been living with the nasty linoleum since we moved in, it is super exciting. My husband was really not looking forward to putting down new linoleum because you have to cut it just right and rent a roller to make it all flat and smooth, it is quite a process. However when I discovered that there were "peel and stick" vinyl tiles at our local Lowes and Home Depot we were off in a flash to learn all about them. We found out that they are really much easier to install than regular linoleum and actually very cheap (only 99 cents a square foot). They still took some tedious work with all the cutting and such but I think they were a whole lot less work than the alternative. We went with a white marble "looking" tile and I am so pleased with the finished product! The two bathrooms and laundry room look so fresh and clean now, it really made a world of difference! Don't you agree?!
