Remember my post showing you my family room here? Well I was just browsing Target pillows online and they have the same pillows! I got mine for my birthday from Etsy and they were double the cost! Just thought I'd let you know in case anyone wants to snatch them up!

Sometimes I wonder how we are going to survive the holidays when just after a crazy weekend we all have some sort of injury or sickness? I am telling you a little newborn with a fever and stuffed up nose is the saddest thing!!! We partied hard but had a blast. Now we are just nursing ourselves back to health on this bright and sunny day in Oregon.

One of our ventures this weekend was a father daughter dance at our church and I was practically in tears I was so excited for Evelette! She had the time of her life and I am so glad we got pics to capture such a special time.

And what's a Monday at My Home without a little something from my home? These are fabulous new pillows from My Painted Pillows by Michelle Mathis. They are hand painted pillowcases that are truly works of art.

Ya cause it's from the Goodwill! I have not been to the "GW" in a while and I am so glad I did cause I found this cute sequined pillow for under $3! All it needed was to be popped in the washer on the hand wash cycle and it's as good as new! I really like how it sparkles in the morning sun.

Raging mad!

So maybe I'm not "raging" mad but a bit miffed I would have to admit. So here I am thinking "the" sectional is going to be delivered today, because they told me that was the estimated delivery date after delaying it twice, I then called to check up because I hadn't heard anything. Well they said they have two parts of it but they are waiting on the third! AND that it isn't "supposed" to be shipped to the freight company till the 29th and it usually takes a week after that to deliver. We have already been waiting for over 3 months and I feel like a very impatient child at this point. They did actually say they were going to give me some compensation this time so that makes me feel a bit better but at this point I just want it to be here. So now I guess it will be another 2 weeks. If I didn't like the couch so much I would cancel but we have waited so long already and I LOVE it!
Thank you for putting up with my ranting you guys. You are the best! Has anyone else gone through this? I know it is probably not that uncommon but it's still so frustrating!

Okay enough of that let's talk about Silky Way an Etsy shop selling ikat fabric, pillows, and scarfs. What I love most about them is that they are affordable and they have a great selection.

I may just have to order some of this black and white ikat fabric. It is so gorgeous!

Waiting, Wishing, Hoping

So the darn sectional is not supposed to get here until the 19th! So now I am just waiting, wishing, and hoping for it to come sooner!
In the meantime I can look at the pillows my sweet parents got for me for my birthday. They were purchased from this Etsy shop.

Monday at My Home

I have recently purchased a few pillows for our new sectional but since it still isn't here after THREE months I have been putting the pillows in different places. The only problem is that I am really liking them where they are now! On Friday I got my new snow leopard pillows from High Street Market. I love their size, they fit perfectly in front of my other ikat pillows.
Can't you tell I have been on a bit of a shopping spree? Tee hee! I also ordered Made by Girl's LOVE print in grapefruit, unfortunately my clumsy self somehow got a spot on it so sweet Jen is sending me another one.

Etsy Pillows

Richard and I decided with our growing family that we need some much needed extra seating. With that in mind I knew when I got a 20% off coupon from West Elm that that was the place we would find it. Not to mention that I like their sectionals the best!

We took a Saturday and went to the West Elm shop in Portland and decided on the Henry Sectional.

Now with the sectional ordered and on the way it has me thinking about pillows that would look pretty against the neutral background.
With the orange lamps that we already have in the room I thought it might be fun to run with that and get some pillows in the same color family. Here's what I found on Etsy.

Monday at My Home

Monday, Monday you come so soon! I feel like I go through crazy inspired spells, and then I go through dry spells either because I am non inspired or just tired. I think this last week I have just been plain tired. It also probably has something to do with me, waiting with baited breath waiting for my hubby to give me an okay on the kitchen. I think we have decided on hiring someone to paint, but we are just waiting for the funding ; ).
So for this Monday I am showing you a few goodies I have recently purchased.
I found adorable Cynthia Rowley candles and a Mongolian sheepskin pillow at Home Goods. I also found cute countertop containers at Ross. I am thinking they will look really cute against on all white backsplash! Patience is a virtue right?!

Another lil project

Here's another lil project I did this past weekend. ( I know I really went crazy) I hot glued these pretty flowers that I made to my ikea pillows. Turned out pretty fun right?!

Some minor changes this weekend.....
I rearranged some pillows.

Evelette and I had fun picking up some pine cones in our backyard and displaying them in a pretty Anthro bowl.

Bouquet of pretty flowers we got from Saturday Market.

I put up new curtains that my Mom and I made together! I love how they turned out, now I just need to find chairs to replace the burgundy ones! And then host a fabulous dinner party!!!! Yahoo!

Etsy never ceases to surprise me. I found this amazing shop called diy pillows and I was blown away by the amazing fabrics and unbeatable prices! At $9.99 a pop who can afford to pass up these gorgeous pillow covers?!!! The hard question is which ones to choose?!!!
