Resolutions Day 7

Today the gorgeous Arianna is going to share her new years resolutions with us! And tomorrow I will be flying home, so sad but I am looking forward to some normalcy after the holidays and being gone.
Luvs to you all!

I've been thinking about what my intentions are for this year and while I have a long To Do list encompassing all areas of my life, one of the most important things to me is taking good care of my body and mind since that strongly affects how well I'm able to do everything else.

From experience I've learned that I can successfully form healthy habits that are sustainable over the long term if I focus on a few at a time. By doing this over the course of the year in 2010 I was able to successfully ditch red meat and poultry, significantly reduce my intake of gluten and soy, integrate new healthy foods into my diet (such as kale, arugula, wheatgrass, and raw cocoa beans), consistently drink green juice 3 times a week, and reduce my stress levels.

In the coming months I intend to: juice 2 extra days per week (which should be easier now that I have a new juicer!), drink 8 glasses of water everyday, integrate flaxseed into my diet, and remember to take a few moments each and every day to take deep breaths and quiet my mind. As those become habit, I'll work towards creating new ones, taking inspiration from two of my favorite online resources: CrazySexyLife.com and WholeLiving.com.

Thank you so much for having me as a guest on your fantastic blog Leah! Happy Healthy 2011 everyone!

My resolution is to lose weight and get healthier in all areas of my life. Last week, I spend entire week focused on eating healthy and proper portion sizes. At the end of the week, the scale said I lost 4 pounds! I think small goals are much easier to accomplish than a long list of things to do! Great post!
