This space is so me! I LOVE the black and white striped couch, the hot pink chairs the black ornate mirror, and the turquiose on the wall! Did I mention the built ins and the shiny black tile fireplace?
My sister commented on my apartment therapy post, and she said that my blog is "vintage glamorous so I don't need to have modern stuff". I forget sometimes that I don't have to have every style in my house that I like. I can appreciate other styles. I may still get modern chairs for my dining room but most likely I will get vintage chairs from Goodwill and paint them or something. The best part is that they will be way more affordable which is really important for us! I hope to find some soon but I don't want to stress finding them (lol I say that but I am totally wanting them, like yesterday).
we have the same taste in style you and I,this room is very SO ME TOO have a great weekend my sweet friend and hope you are feeling better now XX
I love the hot pink chairs. They wouldn't match out house, but maybe someday I'll have my own "me" room and I can do pink everything!! :)
That room is fab! Love everything about it!
Oh yes!!! Soooo in LOVE with the black and white stripes, the hot pink chairs, everything!!! I'm the same way! Once I get something in my head I want it NOW!!! I've had to put my white house dream on hold and it's killing me!!! Grrr! Oh well, it'll happen eventually:)

Hi Leah, I used this room as an inspiration for a client of mine in Los Angeles it is done by Judith B. of Nest Interiors in Colorado. I am with you on the black and white stripes, they are a favorite of mine. This is just a fun, fun room!! Kathysue

I've been loving turquoise more and more! I love those built-ins on both side of the fireplace. That sofa is fun! I really need to get to a goodwill type shop near me too. I'd love to reupholster something too!

Ooooo I love black and white stripes! Have a super duper weekend, Leah!
That striped couch is fabulous! I would throw some bright pillows on it.
That is a beautiful room...like all the bold colors!
Have a great weekend! xo Jade
Your sister is right, but I know how it feels to want a piece of every style you like in the house. The nice thing about the way design has morphed over the years is that totally different styles used in the same home are now considered acceptable and encourage, not looked down upon.
I love this! It's so me too, what a great mix! I looked long and hard for my vintage chairs. Just think like "if you build it, they will come" Of course you're not building anything but you get the gist!
At least you know what your style is, I'm still trying ot figure that out! I do love that tile fire place!!
Ooh, turquoise! I was only brave enough to paint one wall in my living room turquoise, but gosh I love it.
this room does seem so you! embrace your wonderful style/taste. somehow, this room does have a modern feel to it though, not sure what. maybe the white accessories, trim and fireplace.
*sigh* I love the mirror on the wall.. its sooooooooooo gorgeous... And Im falling in love with the pink (i think) couches.. Gorgeous!!
I LOVE these colours!! If only I could be so bold... I'm more of a punches of colour kinda girl. But, it's photos like this that just might turn me over.
Happy Weekend, Leah!
