My kind of Man Cave

Caitlin over at Desert Domicile recently created an oh so chic man cave and I am so jealous! My husband teases sometimes that he would love to have his own man cave. After looking at Caitlin's I no longer oppose!

My favorite touches are the black and white cowhide, the wall calendar, the houndstooth pillows, and the cute side tables!
Did it change your mind about man caves too?
Luvs!

You bet it did! I LOVE that calendar. I'm going to see if I can find the source for it on Caitlin's blog.

My husband is dying to have a man cave! But I'm not sure he would let me decorate it like this. It would probably have that photo of dogs playing pool on the wall! Ha!

As much as I love this space, and see the great effort that was made to make it masculine, it just doesn't look like a *real* man cave to me! It honestly makes me just a little bit sad ... And like Jackie, I know that my Mr. M (a roughneck obsessed with football and his Xbox 360) would never let me actually decorate his future man cave short of putting his military honors on the wall -- Kudos to Caitlin's husband for letting her get his hands on his cave, though. :)

What a great space! I can't remember where I was reading it, but a woman created herself a woman cave! It was great! If I can find it I will send over the link. =)

Thank you all for your sweet comments! I'll admit, the space is a little more designerly than man cavey but I don't want to know what would have happened if I didn't have some say in the project haha

Shannon - the large calendar on the wall is the Stendig calendar which you can purchase from Unica Home (http://www.unicahome.com/p29165/miscellaneous/stendig-2011-calendar-by-vignelli-hughs-pick-in-stock.html). I'm not sure if the 2011 version is out yet but it should be soon!

I love that wall calendar, but to be completely honest, i would have never have guessed this was a "man" cave at all.

That's nice! My husband has a man cave but it will never look like that! I promised I wouldn't lay a finger on it. I think he actually wants to tack sheets over his window. Yuck.
