It is time to move the family! Why the move? Well because this place just needs us! I love the old and the new touches, the clean and feminine touches. I just love it all!
I adore this desk area. This is my problem, I love more modern stuff when I look at pics like this, but I have realized I have no real modern furniture in my house. I am too scared to commit to stuff that might go out of style in a couple of years! Should I take the plunge and go with more modern dining chairs? But then I wouldn't be able to get them at the GW for dirt cheap and redo them myself!!!

Here's a bonus pic for you! It's a shot of Richard and I in Vegas! ( I am using my hubby's computer and found this on here) Awwwwww!
I am LOVING this home too!!! And yes, I say go for it and get a modern desk! It has clean lines and it's not "so" modern that you couldn't use it for many years to come!! I like mixing modern with classic pieces!!
Go for it girlie!!
Fab home! Love the gold lamp base on the desk, too!
P.S. Pic of you and huz in Vegas is adorable! What a fab couple you make!
That home looks so cozy :), and I think it is OK to mix old and new, and then it'll be called ecletic?, and thanks for sharing your pic with Richard babe, you are so sweet :)), wishing you a wonderful day :) xoxo
Love this home! The desk, the campaign night table, and the whole feeling the space gives off! It's great. Hope you're well!!
Yay..great photo find of you and your hubbi. Nice house too you posted. I just finished reading your dining room post and saw your next post about Moving house? I was thinking surely she is not that freaked out about her dining room...surely lol!! Sinead x
I love it. the first picture is amazing, I wish I could be there
Lovely home! And the picture of you and your husband is too adorable, you guys look great together! xo
Wow! What a stunning house! I'll move into the guest room. ;)
Aw, you two are so gorgeous! Together and separately! That home is really so comfy isn't it? I think you can safely blend modern and traditional pieces together. Give it a go!
I'm always reluctant to go with trendy or modern pieces when it comes to the high ticket ones. IMO, it makes more sense to buy trendy accessories that are less expensive and doesn't give you pangs of guilt if you give them away in a few years.
What a beautiful home! And a great shot of you two. Just had to stop by and say hello and thank you so much for commenting on my blog! :)
I am the same way...modern is my style but always nervous to commit to a trendy piece. This home is fabulous.
Oh what a lovely home.. I love all the stacks of books.. far too gorgeous!!
i LOVE seeing the picture of you two! how cute!
and we must be house style twins, my heart hearts over this house
Aw that's a cute picture of you two! I love all the stacks of books everywhere!
What a great apartment! I love the wall color and the lamp. You should def go for some modern pieces. I feel those things really balance a place and add a little edge. Even if you don't use the dining chairs forever you could find another place for them like a desk or hallway, even a powder room!
cute pict of you guys--and the house is awesome~
Oh yes, very nice house and love the way it's decorated! So is this a house on the market? Was it staged for viewers? LOVE that Louis Ghost chair, I'm getting one for our desk/computer area!!
Awww!!! Look at you at the hubby :) I am desperate for an "office" area, but I'm afraid to commit to a desk, especially since I'm still renting. I feel like I should wait to get any furniture until we buy a house!
You might have to make some room in your new home... My husband, 2 dogs and cat would also like to move in! ;)
That desk area has my name written all over it!!!
go ahead, splurge on the modern chairs. i know what you mean though...i have been eyeing eames-esque chairs and think to myself: are they going to be totally out in a year? but i love mixing vintage with modern-it's my fav!
That modern desk is from West Elm so at least you can get it for a decent price! Oh, and there is definitely a difference between "modern" and "contemporary." The "modern" pieces (Eames, etc.) that have become classics will never be out of style! So I say GO FOR IT. ;-)
The home is beautiful! I love your fruit bowls and desk area. My fruit bowl has bills in it, and the fruit never makes it out of the bag. Lol. Oh, don't get me started on Las Vegas. I go there so often, I might as well get a second home there.
I adore your blog, you always have the best interior decorating inspirations!!!
What a great picture of you and your husband! So cute. And the house pictures are amazing. Love the harp-back dining chairs. Can we move in with you?! :)
I love the colour of that dining room table and chairs!
I think "modern" chairs would look great in your dining room because they would create a perfect contrast to your traditional table. The acrylic/ghost chair featured in your post is "modern" but it is mostly traditional due to its louie lines. Therefore, these chairs are not trendy and will not go out of style.
What a cute photo of the two of you!!
And the home is super cozy and comfy looking! Love it!
Hope you area feeling better. =)
You are so HOT, Leah! Oh, and Rich looks good too. :) Don't worry about not having enough modern, your blog is "vintage glamorous"!!:):) Love you!
How about mixing old and new? That is what I will be doing in my new place...when i hopefully move in a cpl months! :)))
Ah! I see the ghost chair that I suggested for your dining room chairs in one of those pics! I think they are lovely. :o)
i can only hope to one day have just as beautiful of a home that you do! especially that dresser next to your bed - i love it!
yea that place is GORGEOUS and you and your hubs are adorable too :)
awww beautiful house and very cute pic of you guys :)
